Traditional Metal Braces
Traditional metal braces have been around longer than any other type of braces! Metal braces use brackets and wires to shift the teeth and jaw bones into alignment. They have small rubber bands (or elastics) wrapped around each bracket to hold the archwire to the bracket.
These elastics come in a variety of different colors. You can get creative with your braces colors or opt for a monochromatic, sleek look by choosing grey, black or other neutral-colored rubber bands.
Which conditions do metal braces treat?
Metal braces are a popular choice for childrens, teens and adults. They can be used to treat almost any condition, from simple to complex, with traditional braces.

The length of your treatment will depend on your condition and the severity of your condition. At your initial consultation with Dr. Senties, he’ll assess your teeth and bite to give you an estimated treatment length.
