Meet

Dr. Gabriel Senties, DDS, MS

“Orthodontics is a wonderful profession. Every day I meet and interact with people from all walks of life who share the same goal: to change their smile and, in doing so, transform their life!”

To me, orthodontics is the perfect blend of science and art, combined with the opportunity to build real and lasting connections with my patients.

I appreciate each person’s unique desires and seek to understand their concerns.

My goal is to partner with every patient to design a treatment approach that is comfortable and efficient, and that delivers the healthy, natural-looking smile they deserve.

Most people start their orthodontic treatment feeling somewhat uncomfortable with how their teeth look. This affects their self-esteem and can cause the person to avoid interacting with others.

As treatment progresses, the individual is able to see the change in their appearance and something wonderful happens: They become happier and start engaging with others. Their self-esteem grows and with it their comfort with themselves.
No matter the person’s age, they finish with stronger oral health, a functional and stable smile, and the confidence to pursue their goals!

I’m lucky to be part of creating these smiles and know that my patients’ lives are better for what we have achieved together.”

Education

Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology
University of California at Davis
Doctorate of Dental Surgery
University of California at San Francisco
Master of Science in Orthodontics and
Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Dental school and my postgraduate orthodontic studies and degree provided a solid understanding of oral health and the mechanics of tooth movement.

One of the most exciting things about orthodontics, though, is how the specialty is constantly evolving. Ongoing research develops new modalities and technologies, which have the potential to change both treatment design and results. It is my responsibility to stay up to date on the latest proven treatments and options in order to provide my patients the best care available.

Every year I take a range of continuing education courses to strengthen my knowledge and skills.

As a member of the UNC Orthodontic Alumni Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, I learn from the leading practitioners and researchers in the specialty. I also keep current with the latest journals and other relevant publications.

Beyond the Practice

I was born in Northern California, grew up in Mexico, and returned to the U.S. to finish high school, college, dental school, and my orthodontic studies. I’ve lived in San Antonio for several years now and appreciate all the community offers. I have an uncle here in town and my parents live in East Texas, too.

If I’m not seeing patients, I keep busy at the gym and playing basketball. I also like going to the movies, escaping into a book, and enjoy music classes (I play the tenor saxophone). When time’s available, I also like exploring the outdoors, especially hiking, fishing, and camping.
